Caltavuturo is a remote town off the coast at the foot of Mount Rocca di Sciara. Known for delicious local cuisine and an annual rock festival, which is held by caltavuturorockfest.it

In addition to alpinist walls, there are three areas for sport climbing.
Cabeci Upper / Lower. Two sectors with a lot of routes of various difficulties. Climbing uphill from the road turn SS120 for 15-20 minutes over the overgrown slope.
The walls look to the northeast, lots of greenery, it's nice to climb in the heat.

Very large area Gazzara with sectors A, B and C. It is located in the park Gazzara-Caltavuturo, near the entrance to the canyon. The walls are well visible from the road, also oriented to the northeast. Approach 10-15 minutes from the parking near the crucifix. You need to go down the path, cross the river and climb the slope.

Another fresh area, Rocca di Sciaria, behind the sports ground. Simple routes on slabs.
